Join us at the Trout Fountain (aka Leo) for the Opening of the 89th National Trout Festival®, on Wednesday, April 22 at 6:00 pm. We'll introduce this year's Grand Marshal, crown our King & Queen, listen to selections from the KHS Jazz Band, and more!
After much discussion, the NTF Directors have made the decision to take the celebration following the Opening Ceremony back to Taste of Trout! We'll still have wonderful trout dishes offered by many of Kalkaska County's great restaurants and we're bringing back the judging for Best Trout Dishes along with the PEOPLE's CHOICE!
At 7 pm, following the Opening Ceremony, we will make our way to the Railroad Square Pavilion for Taste of Trout featuring FREE appetizers and entertainment from Levi Britton.
There will be a cash bar, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. We will also have a raffle and silent auction featuring fantastic prizes donated by several local businesses and many of our sponsors.
Refreshments are furnished by Trout Town Tavern & Eatery, BC Pizza, Yankee Boy Restaurant, Moose & Stella's Cafè, Twin Birch Restaurant & Golf, and Holsum Brew Café & Bakery.
